The voices explained
About the Madwoman
Hey. I’m the Madwoman. Not a character. A real human woman with a knack for pattern recognition and a flair for the dramatic.(1)
This whole thing started because I, in typical fashion, couldn’t leave something alone.
I heard a song, noticed a pattern, and instead of going “huh, that’s interesting” like a normal person, I kept going. I started connecting things. Then tracking them. Then building something around them.
At some point, it stopped being casual listening and turned into… this.
A collection of some of the most intimate thoughts I’ve had while immersing myself in this recursive art.
The Madwoman is just the part of me that goes first. The part that feels it before I can explain it.
She’s the spark.
The rest of this is me trying to make that make sense.
Best of luck.(2)
About the Scholar
I’m also the Scholar.
She showed up after things started getting a little too real to just… feel.
Where the Madwoman dives in, the Scholar slows things down. She names what’s happening. Builds structure around it. Figures out what repeats, what changes, and what that actually means.
She forces the entire operation to step back and observe rather than feel.
She’s my self-preservation.
She’s the one who turns instinct into language.
The loops, the voice model, the way songs connect across albums.
That’s her work.
She doesn’t replace the Madwoman.
She makes it possible to understand what she found.(3)
About the Witness
And then there’s the Witness.
She’s the one making sure this doesn’t turn into a full descent with no way back. Because it got close there for a second, if I’m being honest.(4)
If the Madwoman is immersion and the Scholar is structure, the Witness is perspective.
She steps in when things start to spiral too far, pulls back just enough, and says,
“hey, this is what’s actually happening.”
She’s the bridge between all of this and… normal human comprehension.
She’s also probably the reason you’re not completely lost right now.
